Development of the New MPO 4-Year Short-Term TIP for 2028-2031

Every two years, the MPO will start to create a new 4-year TIP program with allocated federal funds including the Surface Transportation Block Grant Program (STBG), the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) and the Carbon Reduction Program (CRP). Typically funding is awarded on an 80/20 split, where 20% of project costs are to be covered by the project sponsor. This new TIP is for the period from FY 2028-2031. RCRPC MPO will establish a “Call for Projects” based on available federal funds, and. the application will be published on the RCRPC website at https://www.rcrpc.org/transportation . The Application goes live on Friday, August 28, and is due Friday, October 9. To better align with the federal and the state E-STIP workflow, the new TIP development timeline/schedule is prepared below:
