Stormwater Management and Sediment Control Regulations for Richland County are administered
by the
Richland Soil and Water Conservation District.

Before you move any soil, use the handy tool on their website “Do I need a permit” to help
you determine if you need to consult with Richland Soil and Water about getting a stormwater
permit so that you are in compliance. You can find a copy of the regulations by pressing the button below.

The Richland Soil and Water Conservancy district offers property owners assistance with:

  • drainage and erosion concerns

  • flooding

  • pond creation and maintenance

  • forestry management

  • agricultural programs

  • aerial-GPS maps of individual properties

An interactive watershed page on their website allows users to view detailed information about the watershed they are located in within the eight watersheds in the county.

Regional Planning is a collaborative partner in promoting and improving the quality of our waterways.
