While a number of Ohio communities have regulations for driveways known as access management; Richland County has not adopted formal county-wide standards. This guidebook has been compiled from a draft of standards that had been proposed for the county. The suggestions are intended to assisted residents in locating Low Volume driveways.
In 1999 Richland County Commissioners began working on farmland preservation plans to help aid in the agrucultural legacy of our region.
The provisions and requirements of these Standards shall be construed to be minimum requirements for design, construction, maintenance and repair of public improvements and nothing herein shall prohibit the subdivider from exceeding these minimum requirements.
