Travel Assistance
Richland County Transit has a program that teaches you how to make use of the Public Transit System. A Transit Aide will assist you in learning how to read a bus schedule; how to board and disembark properly; how to determine the destination of a bus; how the transfer process works; as well as the Dos and Don’ts when riding public transit.
This service is provided at no extra cost through the Richland County Transit Board. While you are assisted by a Transit Aide there will be no cost to you to ride and to learn the transit system. Being able to successfully use public transit can make the difference between dependence and independence.
Don’t be intimidated any longer. Enjoy life again; join RCT and learn to be totally independent again. For more information, call 522-4504 and ask for the Learn to Ride program.
