| RCT Travel Tips All RCT city bus routes begin and end in downtown Mansfield at the Stanton Transit Center. The Stanton Transit Center is located at the Northwest corner of South Diamond Street and East First Street. When boarding the bus, always look at the destination sign located above the windshield to make sure it is the bus that you want. The destination sign will tell you the route number and the major street that bus will be operating on. Buses that have destination signs that read “Not in Service,” “Garage,” or “Charter” will not pick up passengers. Destination signs are also located behind the front door above the passenger window. If you have any questions about a bus route or destination, just ask the drivers. They will be happy to assist you. |

Bus Stop Signs
Some routes with many student riders may ask students to board only at RCT Bus Stop signs. For other possible exceptions, call 522-4504. |
| Be Early On-time service is what RCT strives to provide. Watches and clocks seldom agree and a minute or two difference could mean a missed bus. Arrive at your bus stop 3 to 5 minutes before your departure time. Occasionally traffic conditions, inclement weather, passenger loads, or other uncontrollable conditions may cause a bus to run behind its published schedule. Please be patient if this occurs. RCT will make every effort to get late buses back on schedule as quickly as possible. |
| Boarding the Bus To board the bus, raise your arm to get the driver's attention or board at one of the RCT Bus Stop signs. Bus stop signs are located about every 2 blocks. Always board at the far corner never in the middle and always wait for the bus to come to you. Always enter through the front doors. In order to help to protect drivers and passengers, drivers do not make change. Drivers are not allowed to deposit fares for passengers. Please have your fare ready to deposit in the farebox when you board the bus. If you will require a free transfer, ask the driver for a transfer slip as soon as you board the bus. Please ask the driver any questions that you may have about the routes and schedules, and then take a seat and enjoy your ride. Always let other passengers disembark before boarding the bus. |
| Seating For your safety, please remain seated while the bus is moving. Keep you arms and head inside the bus at all times. If it is necessary for you to stand, please move to the rear of the bus and hold the handrails for your safety and the safety of others. Priority seating for senior citizens and handicapped persons is located at the front of the bus. Please move to another seat, from the priority seating, if asked to do so by the driver. Remember, federal law prohibits the operation of the bus if passengers are standing forward of the white line at the front of the bus. |
| Getting Off The
Bus When you want to get off the bus, press the yellow touch tape above or between the windows one block before your stop. When possible, use the rear door to exit from the bus. Senior citizens and handicapped should always use the front door to exit. |
