Every time we use public transit we are helping to protect the quality of our lives and to benefit our communities. We reduce congestion in Ohio’s cities, save millions of dollars in highway repair and construction costs, conserve vital energy resources, improve air quality, and create jobs and economic opportunities. Most importantly, we provide valuable members of our society with greater mobility.

Bus service is the most perishable of services. When a bus trip is scheduled, there is no way of knowing how many people are going to use it. It costs just about as much to run the bus whether it is full or empty, and once the schedule has been run, there is no way to salvage that part which has not been used. It is gone forever.
